Note
Unlike our freeze dried meats which rehydrate more simply, rehydrating fruit requires a bit more intention.
When you rehydrate fruit, it will return as softer than when fresh, just like when you thaw frozen fruit. If you're looking for berries with more texture, consume them in their freeze-dried form.
Rehydrating them works for any use where thawed frozen berries would work. This includes in baking, in yogurt bowls, or in beverages (like an infused water).
Rehydrating Directions
Begin with 1/4 volume of luke water. So if you're rehydrating 1 cup of blueberries, use 1/4 cup of luke water. Use a vessel where the fruit can lay flat and be mostly in contact with the water (unlike a thin tall vessel where the water will sit on the bottom, not in contact with the berries).
Gently stirring can speed up the rehydration.
From here, you can add more water if you'd like them softer.
Note - The leftover water will contain epic nutrition. Anthocyanins, polyphenols, and more. This water can be added to smoothies, teas - really anywhere you're using water in food.

FAQ's
Are these sprayed or treated in any way?
No. These are wild-grown berries from naturally occurring stands. No agricultural sprays are used.
Are they sweet?
They’re naturally tart-sweet — less sugary than cultivated blueberries, more complex in flavor.
Are freeze-dried berries “raw”?
Yes. Freeze-drying uses cold temperatures and vacuum pressure. No cooking occurs. Heat-sensitive compounds remain intact.
Do they spike blood sugar?
Wild blueberries are lower in sugar and higher in fiber and polyphenols than cultivated varieties, resulting in a gentler glycemic response for most people.
Are they safe for kids?
Yes. This is whole fruit — nothing added. Excellent for children.
How should I store them?
Keep sealed in a cool, dry place. Avoid moisture. No refrigeration needed. If the bag is kept sealed, these will last for many years with zero nutrient loss.
Where are they sourced from?
From wild lands in Western Canada where blueberries grow naturally — not from industrial farms.
